Production Operator
Quick Apply Full-time 14 hours ago Full Job Description PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Production Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the inedible egg drying process - Hegins, PA facility.
This will include operating the dryer, evaporator, pasteurizer, and packaging equipment as well as unloading/loading tankers within company guidelines in order to meet customer specifications.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES The safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment according to company policies and procedures including the 5-head box dryer, pasteurizer and bag machine.
Follows GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained Unloading Tankers - hooking and unhooking of tankers in the Tanker Bay.
Operation of pallet jack and forklift to transport product, raw materials and equipment as needed Maintain and document appropriate machine settings and to ensure that product meets customer specifications Completion of required operation reports, log tracking and other required paperwork.
Monitor product for discoloration and smell and make corrective actions as appropriate Sample both inbound and finished product and log results as required.
Perform the Clean in Place (CIP) of the drying equipment while adhering to chemical safety guidelines.
Clean machines and general work area including the processing room.
Provide breaks as needed and assist in other areas (ex.
assist in cleaning silos) All other duties as assigned TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Preferred High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Must be mechanically inclined and have ability to perform general maintenance as required.
Ability to operate power tools and equipment safely.
Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand.
Must be able to repeatedly lift 55 lb.
bag on a regular/constant basis.
